We will begin to treat a limited number of patients at our Staples Mill Road office beginning on Monday, April 6th. This limited schedule, with therapists working in shifts, has been put in place to protect you and our staff by minimizing the number the people in the building and enforcing physical distancing in our large open spaces. We have also identified restricted categories of patients, based on age and health concerns. If a patient falls into any of these categories, their in-clinic treatment will be put on hold until further notice, and when appropriate Telehealth PT visits are suggested. (more on that below)
The following screening questions will be asked of all patients by phone and upon entering:
Upon entering our lobby, each patient and employee will have their temperature taken by a forehead thermometer:
Patients and staff exhibiting a temperature of 100 or higher, will be asked to go home and continue to monitor their symptoms. They will be advised to consult with their medical doctor if symptoms persist.
Answering “Yes” to the following questions will require a “2 week wait” before returning to our clinic:
Are you experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms? (Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath, etc)
Have you had contact with someone diagnosed with Coronavirus, or exhibiting symptoms?
Following CDC screening guidelines regarding International Travel and adding our own precautions:
Have you traveled overseas ANYWHERE, been on a cruise, or traveled to the identified “hot spots” in the US: West Coast, New York, or Louisiana in the last 2 weeks?
Have you been in close contact with someone who has recently traveled overseas, been on a cruise, or traveled to any identified “hot spots” in the US?
Please do not bring additional people inside to your appointment. Please ask drivers/family/friends to wait in their vehicle. We will not be allowing any visitors to wait in the lobby.
We ask that you each PLEASE abide by these restrictions
and guidelines to keep all patients and staff safe.
We will maintain our Standard Universal Precautions and rigorous cleaning procedures in-between each patient visit, as well as our implemented extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For those that need to come in, we are creating the safest space we possibly can, to be able to treat you with minimal risk.
For our restricted patients - We now offer Telehealth PT Visits! This is a great option for those of you in a high risk category, who should not come into the clinic for treatment. Medicare and most other large commercial insurance companies have approved this digital communication alternative for physical therapy. You can work directly with your physical therapist via audio + visual, using platforms such as Facetime (iPhone/Apple devices) and Zoom, which are permitted during the COVID 19 national emergency. Again, this is a great option to utilize during this time period of self-isolation. If you are interested in setting up a Telehealth PT visit or would like to learn more, please feel free to call our office 804-523-2653 or email our Telehealth Coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to reconnecting you with your therapist using the option that is best for you! We miss your smiling faces and want you to be able to continue to receive the care that you need and see the benefits of great physical therapy!
Our warmest wishes that you stay safe, healthy, and strong. Please reach out to us if you have any other questions or concerns. 804-523-2653 or email email@example.com.
